Title: Between Two Minds: Awakening

Author: D.C. Wright-Hammer

Pages: 340

Genre: Scifi/Thriller

Book Blurb: How much would you pay for the body of your dreams? For Ryan, it might cost him everything.

As a paraplegic, Ryan’s always dreamed of walking. He saved a small fortune to undergo a common procedure in his time to transfer his mind into a physically fit host body. Afterwards, his obsession with walking is immediately overshadowed by a strange and frightening side effect unraveling the reality he once knew.

Plot twists that will keep you guessing until the very last chapter

This psychological thriller takes the reader on an adventure far beyond the potential consequences of transferring one’s consciousness to a new body. The interweaving story line will have the reader second guessing what is real and what is dream, and prove that knowing the truth can be the difference between life and death.

A well written, fast-paced science fiction thriller reminiscent of Philip K. Dick, William Gibson, Michael Crichton, and Aldous Huxley

Review:
I received a copy in exchange for a true and honest review. I really enjoyed this story. The story centers around Ryan, who is disabled. He pursues a mind migration! This idea has always intrigued me; the idea of transferring one's consciousness into another mind/body. This idea alone drew me to the story.
Ryan was such a relatable and powerful character. Dynamic. Realistic. It truly makes you wonder how one in his position would react.

There were shifts between POV, but I remembered the topic; mind migration. The shifts in POV didn’t affect my rating.

I really like it when authors try things, and I commend D.C. Wright-Hammer for doing it.

The futuristic world was well written. I felt as though I was there. And, the story maintained its hold on my attention. The idea of mind migration has been used in movies, tv shows, stories, etc. And I have always wondered how/if this process is possible. As I stated, the story makes you think. You should give it a try.

The cover is appealing. I believe that D.C. Wright-Hammer did a fantastic job, and I can't wait to read more of his work. I give the cover an A. The images are nice, and it tells a little about the story, but it doesn’t give it away, which is important. The reader MUST form their own opinion and experience.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Scifi/Thrillers.

Overall, I give Between Two Minds: Awakening 5.0/5.0.

Title: Between Two Minds: Revelations

Author: D.C. Wright-Hammer

Genre: Scifi/Thriller

Pages: 380

Book Blurb: Ryan attempts to move on with life in his new body, but some things are easier said than done. When he stumbles upon a cryptic letter from the past, he becomes obsessed with learning the truth about Charlie’s life and the mind migration procedure. But the more truth he unravels, the deeper the lies go.

Truth is a double-edged sword. Nothing is ever what it seems.

The true origins of mind migration are only known to the cursed individuals who had the misfortune of helping develop it. Follow Dr. Rex Martin as he pushes his abilities to the limit to birth the world’s first “neural transfer” and discovers the truth about himself and the corporation employing him. Put in a no-win situation, Dr. Martin must decide what’s more important: his life and legacy or the lives of his lover and colleagues.

In book two of this psychological thriller series, the past, present, and future are on an unstoppable collision course and the fate of mankind hangs in the balance. Who will suffer the consequences of being between two minds?

Review:
I received a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest and true review. What can I say? D.C. Wright-Hammer did it again! I really thought that the previous novel was standalone, but I was excited to see that it wasn't.
Ryan continues with his life in his new body, and everything that comes with being in a new body (not that I would know), i.e. emotionally, physically and mentally.

How does that NOT make someone thing about mind migration??? I mean…come on! This is some Professor Xavier shit!!!! (Just without the Telepathy.) This book makes you think! I love stories that make the reader ponder.

I recommend both of his novels. You like Scifi with a twist? Then pick up his novels. They’re well thought out and easy to follow. If you don’t mind multiple POVs.

Everyone should go get their copies now! You won't be disappointed.

Overall, I give this one 5.0/5.0.

So, both of D.C. Wright-Hammer’s novels are well written. You can tell that you has passion for the story and he knows his stuff. If you take anything away from my review then take this…. it’s about switching consciousness. So, when you’re reading his story, remember what all that would entail, and you see how well D.C. did it.
